the night.
The attraction of the lake apart from it's scenic magnificence are the
hippos and crocodiles that are considered harmless by the locals who fish
next to them.
However visitors are more entranced by the multitude of birds.Bird watching
is usually done by boat.Other activities around include fishing, water
sports or a visit to the Njemp village where traditional crafts and dancing
can be enjoyed.
DAY 2.
We shall start the day with bird watching at the lake Bogoria nearby which
has a spectacle of flamingoes and other bird species.Game is far from
plentiful here but this is the most likely place in Kenya to photograph
the Greater Kudu.

the "pink lake".
It is world famous as the location of the pink flamingo whose numbers
are often more than a million or two.The lake is also rich in other birdlife
with over 400 resident species.

giraffe, the waterbuck, predators like the lion, leopard, and many others.
